Technology for IT

Agilence for ITIT is now the lifeblood of any organization and technology is at the forefront of loss prevention.  As IT and loss prevention organizations converge, it is important that any new technology that LP teams implement fits within the overall architecture of the organization.

Agilence benefits IT in the following ways:

  • Every Agilence server runs Microsoft Windows Server.  This means that it can be patched and upgraded in coordination with the other Windows servers in the data center. Microsoft Gold Certified Partner
  • Agilence uses images prior to video.  Instead of having to load an entire video clip for every transaction, Agilence pulls a single image for each line of the transaction, only on demand.  Video clips are still available for review, but, in many cases, it does not to have be viewed.  This saves bandwidth.
  • Agilence servers are NVRs.  Instead of "black box" digital video recorders (DVRs), each Agilence server is an NVR.  This means IT staff can replace memory, hard drives, etc without having to pay exhorbitant fees to an outside provider.
